In November we are taking a look at Queen Victoria who was a carrier for the hereditary bleeding disease haemophilia. Eight of her 9 children married into the royal families of Europe, proving disastrous for some of those families and having a significant effect on the history of Europe. Our speaker, Dr Simon La Frenais, discusses the origins of Queen Victoria’s carrier status and its outcomes.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, 14 November at 7.30 pm at the Weaverham Primary Academy, Northwich Road, Weaverham, CW8 3BD.
