Court of Queen Elizabeth I
At our meeting on 10 January 2023 we have local historian Tony Bostock shining a light on the first Elizabethan Age, with the history of Mary Fitton, the daughter of Edward Fitton of Gawsworth. She was a Maid of Honour and favourite of Queen Elizabeth I but went on to cause outrage at Court with her scandalous affairs!
