Moving Cheshire salt and coal by rail and water

How industrial railways were used to move coal and salt extracted in Cheshire, starting with the 18th century tramway and canal era and  finishing with the national railway network at Winsford some 200 years later.  A talk by Paul Teather with analysis, maps, contemporary photographs and some views of what can be seen today.
